How to Connect OptinMonster with Ontraport

OptinMonster offers seamless integration with Ontraport email marketing service. Connecting OptinMonster to your Ontraport email list is very easy. Follow our step by step guide on how to connect OptinMonster with your Ontraport account.

  2. Log into Your Ontraport Account
  3. Enter the App ID & API Key
  4. Select a Tag
  5. Configure Lead Options (optional)
REQUIREMENT: Our native Ontraport integration requires a Pro subscription. However, you can still use our Custom HTML integration with a lower subscription.

Step 1 – Integrations Tab

If you’re uncertain how to add your integration, you can follow our guide for connecting to Email Service Providers and CRMs.

Next, select Ontraport from the Email Provider drop-down.

Step 2 – Log into Your Ontraport Account

To obtain your Ontraport API credentials, log into your Ontraport account. Once logged in, navigate to the Administration page from the dropdown menu next to your username.

Go to the Integrations section.

Select Ontraport API Instructions and Key Manager.

From this screen, you can create new API Keys if you wish, or select from existing Keys. Once you have an API Key created you wish to use, copy the App ID and API Key.

Step 3 – Enter the App ID & API Key

Returning to the Campaign Builder, paste the App ID and API Key into the corresponding fields. Don’t forget to add a unique label for easy identification! Then, select the Connect to Ontraport button.

Step 4 – Select a Tag

OptinMonster will now connect to your Ontraport account and fetch available Tags. Select a Tag you want to associate with new subscribers.

Step 5 – Configure Lead Options (optional)

You’ll also have the Follow-Up Sequences option available for your campaign if applicable to the specific Tag you’ve chosen in the previous step.
