The question is often asked, “Does OptinMonster allow single-optin for AWeber?” The answer is yes! We certainly do. We are one of the few providers that actually have a built-in integration with AWeber API; however, AWeber does not allow the single-optin option for built-in APIs. This is why we have the Custom HTML form option available.
The “single-optin”setting itself has to be enabled in your AWeber account. The step by step instructions from AWeber are available here, but copied below for your convenience.
Can I disable confirmed opt-in?
Confirmed Opt-In is disabled by default for subscribers you import into your AWeber list. If you’re looking to import subscribers without confirmation, please see the following link for those instructions:
Disabling Confirmed Opt In for Sign Up Form Submissions
There may be times when you decide that you do not want to use confirmed opt in for people who fill out your sign up forms. This is possible in your AWeber account, though advise using caution when disabling confirmation.
Step By Step Instructions
- First, click “List Settings” under the “List Options” tab.
- Next, click the “Confirmed Opt In” tab from the left hand side of the page to change your confirmation settings.
- Finally, click the “OFF” button to disable confirmation, and click the “YES” button in the popup that appears.
After you enable single-optin (i.e.: disable the confirmation email), then you can continue your OptinMonster and AWeber integration by following our Custom HTML guide to embed your custom AWeber code into OptinMonster.
