Do you want to analyze your campaign results in a spreadsheet, build custom reports, or share performance data with your clients? With OptinMonster’s analytics export, you can filter exactly the data you need and download it as a CSV file in just a few clicks.
In this article, you’ll learn how to export your campaign analytics in OptinMonster.
Before you start, analytics exports are available with a Pro or higher subscription.
Exporting Your Campaign Analytics
Ready to get your campaign data into a spreadsheet? Just follow these steps:
- First, navigate to the Campaigns screen.
- Then, select the campaign you want to export data for.
- In the campaign’s toolbar, click the View Analytics icon to open the campaign’s analytics screen.
- From there, click the Export Analytics button at the top of the analytics screen.
- The export panel will slide in from the right side of your screen. From here, you can choose exactly which data to include before you download anything.
Choosing Scope and Filters
At the top of the export panel, under What to export, you’ll choose the scope of your export:
- This campaign exports data for the campaign you’re currently viewing. This is the scope the panel starts with.
- A folder exports data for every campaign in 1 or more folders you select.
- A domain exports data for every campaign on 1 or more of your connected sites.
Once you’ve picked a scope, you can narrow down the data with filters. The filters you’ll see depend on your scope:
- Date range: available for every scope. You can choose a preset like Today, Yesterday, Last 7 Days, Last Week, Last 30 Days, This Month, Last Month, or Last 3 Months, or set a custom range on the calendar. The export uses Last 30 Days unless you change it.
- Folders or Domains: when your scope is a folder or a domain, you’ll pick 1 or more folders or domains to include. Everything in your account is included until you narrow the selection.
- Campaigns: folder and domain scopes also let you pick individual campaigns within your selection. All campaigns in scope are included by default.
- Campaign types: optionally, limit a folder or domain export to specific types: Popup, Fullscreen, Slide-in, Floating Bar, or Inline. All types are included by default.
As you adjust your scope and filters, the estimated number of rows in your export updates live at the bottom of the panel, so you’ll always know how much data you’re about to download
.
Selecting Your Export Columns
Below the filters, you’ll find the Columns to include picker, where you can toggle the data columns your CSV file will include. The columns are organized into groups:
- Campaign Details: the campaign’s name, ID, type, launch date, last modified date, associated folders, and top performing pages. The Campaign Name column is always included in every export.
- Performance: impressions, conversions, conversion rate, and campaign status.
- Revenue Impact: total revenue, click-through revenue, and view-through revenue. These columns are available when Revenue Attribution is enabled on your account.
- Split Tests: split test details like the test’s name, status, each variation’s totals, and which one is the Primary. This group is available when a campaign in your export is part of a split test, and the export includes a separate row for each variation.
Exporting Analytics
Before you export anything, take a quick look at the bottom of the panel. Next to the estimated row count, a delivery indicator tells you whether your export will download straight to your browser or arrive by email.
When you’re happy with your selections, click the Export CSV button at the bottom of the panel.
Browser Download
Smaller exports download straight to your browser as a CSV file, and you’ll see a confirmation message with the number of rows included.
Email Delivery
Larger exports are delivered by email instead. The panel lets you know ahead of time when your export is too large for a direct download.
If your export will be emailed, the Send by Email window opens with your account’s email address already filled in.
To send the download link to a different address, click Edit and type the new address and click Done. Then, click Send & queue export, and we’ll email you a download link as soon as your export is ready. Most exports finish in 5 to 10 minutes, and your download link stays valid for 7 days.
Your exported file is named with the date it was generated, like optinmonster-campaign-analytics-2026-08-04.csv. The first few lines of the file record the date range, the generation time, and the account that created the export, so you can always tell exactly where an export came from.
FAQs
Can I export data for more than 1 campaign at a time?
Yes! In the export panel, set the scope to A folder or A domain to include every campaign in the folders or on the sites you select. You can then use the campaign filter to narrow the export down to just the campaigns you want.
Why don’t I see revenue columns in my export?
The Revenue Impact columns require Revenue Attribution to be enabled on your account. If it isn’t enabled, the columns appear locked in the column picker and are left out of your CSV file. To start tracking revenue, follow our guide on how to use Revenue Attribution.
How do split test variations appear in my export?
Each variation gets its own row in the CSV file, along with columns identifying the split test and the variation’s role (Primary, or Variation A, Variation B, and so on), plus its own impressions, conversions, and conversion rate. That way you can compare variations side by side in your spreadsheet.
Why was my export emailed to me instead of downloading?
Really large exports take a little longer to generate, so instead of tying up your browser, we prepare the file in the background and email you a download link. The export panel tells you before you click Export CSV whether your file will be emailed.
What file format do my exports use?
Exports are delivered as CSV (comma-separated values) files, which open in Excel, Google Sheets, Numbers, and most reporting tools.
Troubleshooting
Why did my export fail?
Occasionally an export doesn’t generate, and you’ll see a message asking you to try again. Your filter and column selections are preserved, so you can click Export CSV once more. If the problem continues, please reach out to our support team and we’ll be happy to help.
That’s it! You can now export your campaign analytics and put your data to work in spreadsheets and client reports.
