What is an MCP server?

MCP (Model Context Protocol) is an open standard that lets AI assistants use other software through a defined set of tools. The OptinMonster MCP server gives your assistant 43 tools for building campaigns, setting targeting rules, reading analytics and managing the sites in your account.

Which AI assistants does it work with?

Claude, Claude Code, ChatGPT, Cursor and any other assistant that supports MCP connectors. Setup steps for each are at mcp.optinmonster.com.

Do I need to write code?

No. In most assistants you paste one URL into the connector settings and sign in to OptinMonster. Claude Code uses a single terminal command.

Can my AI change or delete my live campaigns?

Only if you allow it. Editing and deleting are separate scopes, and you choose which scopes to grant when you approve the connection. You can grant read-only access to analytics and campaigns if you prefer.

How do I disconnect an assistant?

Each connection is approved from your OptinMonster account and can be revoked there at any time.
