Big OptinMonster Plugin Update: Automatic Syncing and Gutenberg Block

You asked, we listened!

At OptinMonster, we’re always listening to your feedback about how we could make OptinMonster, the world’s best conversion toolkit, as easy as possible for you to grow your email list, sales, and revenue.

Today, we’re pushing out a big update to our WordPress plugin that makes it easier than ever to publish a conversion optimization campaign on your WordPress website.

Automatic Syncing Between the OptinMonster App and the Plugin

With this update, the tweaks you made on your campaigns in the OptinMonster app will be automatically synchronized to your WordPress website — without having to click on the Refresh Campaigns button in your plugin settings.

The only time you’ll have to click Refresh Campaigns is when you create and publish a new campaign.

Any further changes to the Output Settings in the plugin or the campaign itself in the app will be live immediately.

Introducing a Gutenberg Block for Inline Campaigns

Are you using the Gutenberg editor on your website?

Then I have some good news for you.

We’re introducing a Gutenberg block for embedding inline campaigns on your posts and pages.

How to insert an OptinMonster inline campaign using a Gutenberg block for WordPress

Before this update, if you want to add an inline campaign to your site, you’ll have to use one of these methods.

  • campaign specific embed code
  • inline <div> from the Publish tab
  • shortcode from the WordPress plugin

All of those options still exist for those who are still using the classic editor.

If you’re on Gutenberg, all you have to do is insert a new OptinMonster block in your content and choose the right inline campaign from the list.

By default, inline campaigns inserted using the OptinMonster Campaign block will display exactly where you place them, despite any Output Settings configured for the campaign. This gives you the flexibility to insert existing inline campaigns anywhere you’d like, on the fly, without worrying about its settings.

Of course, if you’d like your inline campaign to use the Output Settings you’ve specified in the WordPress OptinMonster plugin, simply toggle the “Use Output Settings” to the ON position in the block’s settings and they will!
