Step 2 – Edit the Form Code

The HTML form code provided by Feedburner needs to be modified before adding to the Custom HTML integration field. The form code provided will look similar to the following:

<form style="border:1px solid #ccc;padding:3px;text-align:center;" action="https://feedburner.google.com/fb/a/mailverify" method="post" target="popupwindow" onsubmit="window.open('https://feedburner.google.com/fb/a/mailverify?uri=LIST', 'popupwindow', 'scrollbars=yes,width=550,height=520');return true">

Enter your email address:

<input type="text" style="width:140px" name="email"/>

<input type="hidden" value="LIST" name="uri"/><input type="hidden" name="loc" value="en_US"/><input type="submit" value="Subscribe" />

</form>

Edit the form code to remove all inline CSS styles, update the form’s action attribute, and clean up the input fields so they can inherit the campaign template’s default form styling. After modification your form code should look similar to the following:

<form action="https://feedburner.google.com/fb/a/mailverify?uri=LIST" method="post">
    <input type="email" name="email" placeholder="Email Address"/>
    <input type="hidden" value="LIST" name="uri"/>
    <input type="hidden" name="loc" value="en_US"/>
    <input type="submit" value="Subscribe" />
</form>
